Friday! Eye of newt and toe of frog, wool of bat and tongue of dog . . .

From Macbeth

By William Shakespeare

 Round about the cauldron go;

in the poison’d entrails throw.

Toad, that under cold stone
Days and nights hast thirty one
Swelter’d venom sleeping got,
Boil thou first i’ the charmed pot.

Double, double toil and trouble;
Fire burn and cauldron bubble.

Fillet of a fenny snake,
in the cauldron boil and bake;
Eye of newt, and toe of frog,
Wool of bat, and tongue of dog,

Adder’s fork, and blind-worm’s sting,
Lizard’s leg, and howlet’s wing,
for a charm of powerful trouble,
like a hell-broth boil and bubble.

 Double, double toil and trouble;

Fire burn and cauldron bubble.

The wind howls, the crisp air is filled with magic and mayhem . . . and as the spookiest time of year descends upon Ogden, we find ourselves surrounded by zombies and witches . . . Are you prepared for the horror, the cackling, the utter terror? That’s right folks, it is time again for Witchstock on Historic 25th Street.

This Saturday, at Ogden’s Union Station, a gaggle, a mob, a throng of witches will flock to Historic 25th Street to dress up, cast spells, drink tea and maybe even raise money for a good cause (because funds raised at the event support the restoration and operation of the Union station . . . say that three times fast).

Here’s an outline of the day:

Date:      Saturday, October 22 2011 ♥ Ogden Union Station

Time:     3:00pm until the full moon

Tickets: $5, Available at the door and at the Union Station Business Office, Monday – Friday 10am-5pm

Two Dance Floors:        Dance your hats off and party ’til the full moon!

Excited yet? You should be! To top it all off, Indie Ogden’s li’l witchy women Mikki and Jenny will be representin’! Or . . . taking pictures and kicking ass. Yeah, that sounds a bit more like it. So come hang out with us, be in our pictures, have a blast! C’mon, for only $5, it is definitely worth it. Maybe we can all go down the haunted hallways in the Union Station . . . [insert scary ghost sound here]

About Jenny

Jenny Shaw is a die-hard Ogdeneer; local community supporter, little bit of a hippy, lover of music, anything British and sparkles. She can be found regularly at the Grounds for Coffee on 30th and Harrison, doing homework and drinking coffee or at the Sandtrap on any given Wednesday, singing her heart out at karaoke.

When she isn’t helping with Indie Ogden, she is volunteering all over town, when she's not at work with the Ogden-Weber Community Action Partnership (Head Start). Jenny also works with the Buy Local (Ogden) group and is passionate about promoting, connecting and uplifting local businesses to make a stronger, more unified community and economy.

If you ever want to catch Jenny, just track her down at MacCool’s for ½ priced appetizers, at any of the fabulous vintage stores scattered throughout Ogden playing dress-up with Mikaela, or with the rest of Indie Ogden wandering around our lovely town.
