Super Bowl XLVI in Ogden – It’s Time to Get Down!

Its the Super Bowl, which I guess is a big deal for some people. For me personally it is an excuse to chill with my ladies & nom on some chikin wangz, maybe laugh at the silly commercials. But, if you are not like me & you want to go out to play & party hardy while the modern day knights in albeit sweaty, plastic armor instead of shining metal armor clash on the field, there’s quite a lot to do!

Indie Ogden has got you covered as far as options go so take a look-see below!

Slackwater Pub & Pizzeria - Open at 10am with brunch until 3pm, Super Bowl Specials Include: $6 750ml EPIC Mountain Mild Ales, The Tom Bradey New England Crab Cakes, the Eli Manning NY Sub Sandwich, A out of this world BEER CHEESE SOUP, A Belgian White Beer Battered Veggie Plate, A Huge Screen Out in the Atrium to watch the gameplay, and a cool Place to hang out with Friends & Family!!

You can also check out Wing Nutz or the Sand Trap for game day festivities, along with delicious foods to nom! Iggy’s Sports Grill at the Junction will be giving away a NFL football helmet. Free table reservations, so that you won’t have to worry about getting in. Game time is 4:30 MST. At the downtown location they will have fresh jalepeno poppers as an appetizer special, to go along with Iggy’s 70 different beers. T-G-I-Fridays knows how to party! Since the Big Game calls for a big dish they’re whipping up all-you-can-eat wings and a beer bucket. Is that big enough for you? Available in the bar only at participating locations.

Brewski’s is always a fun place to hang out for any game, sure they’ll be having something awesome going down tonight. Or a place we at Indie Ogden love, Steiny’s Family Sports Grill out at the Depot (remember that review we wrote?). You better believe they’ll have something fantastic waiting for you!

The Ogden copper club is teaming up with underground and five wives to bring you some special super bowl drinks while you enjoy the game. Of course Roosters will be hosting some great brews and wings and even the library will be having a super bowl party with prizes too!

There are loads of options! And hey, if we left any out, feel free to comment & let us know so we can add them to the list!

So whether you go out for some of the fun, or stay in & stuff yourself full of spicy chicken, one thing is for certain. There’ll be some funny commercials tomorrow. (Who really watches the game anyways? Seriously.) Enjoy the day, Indie Ogdeneers!

About Jenny

Jenny Shaw is a die-hard Ogdeneer; local community supporter, little bit of a hippy, lover of music, anything British and sparkles. She can be found regularly at the Grounds for Coffee on 30th and Harrison, doing homework and drinking coffee or at the Sandtrap on any given Wednesday, singing her heart out at karaoke.

When she isn’t helping with Indie Ogden, she is volunteering all over town, when she's not at work with the Ogden-Weber Community Action Partnership (Head Start). Jenny also works with the Buy Local (Ogden) group and is passionate about promoting, connecting and uplifting local businesses to make a stronger, more unified community and economy.

If you ever want to catch Jenny, just track her down at MacCool’s for ½ priced appetizers, at any of the fabulous vintage stores scattered throughout Ogden playing dress-up with Mikaela, or with the rest of Indie Ogden wandering around our lovely town.
