Last night was rad. Mikki, Kristin & I rounded out a busy Thursday with meetings & educational movies about this lovely city of ours. Ogden Junction City of the West was a VERY interesting film, full of entertaining facts, beautiful photos, grizzly men & sordid deeds in li’l towns you would’ve never expected it from. (Ogden native & icon, Ron Atencio is in it!!)
Ogden is full of so much diversity, so much art, so many colors. Have you ever taken just a day to wander the city, go into the art houses, the galleries, just talk to someone on the street & discover how many artists & amazing things to see? If not, you should. Tonight is a perfect night for it. The Union Station is having “Late Night at the Museums” this evening, perfect chance to see beautiful art. Before getting started on our educational adventure, we met at Grounds for Coffee (Have you submitted your story yet?? If not, you should! Shoot us an email at staff@indieogdenutah.com, comment on this post or comment on our Facebook page; let us know any cool stories about Grounds for Coffee because they ROCK & we want to share the love!) to discuss some awesome things we have in the works (can you say…stickers? T-Shirts? Swag?!) with one of our absolute favorite artists, Chris Bodily. Seriously folks, he’s amazing. (I am probably gonna be commissioning him to design a tattoo for me! Suggestions?)
THEN I went to the Sand Trap for their Free Show Thursday! Holy Water Buffalo? Yes PLEASE! These boys rock (and they have such pretty hair!!); the Sand Trap is easily my favorite place in town to just go hang out.
Tonight is BBQ night. Chilled out, relaxing at home with mah besties. Tomorrow? Zombie Prom. Jenny is SO EXCITED. I can barely contain it. I will be getting my face did by the great artists from Castle of Chaos, playin’ with my hairs to make the perfect, crazy coif.
Now folks, I am off to become one with the ranks of the undead… maybe next time you see me… I’ll be nomming on your arm. Who knows?
x – Jenny
