Indie Ogden Review: West Haven Moores Family Restaurant

I’ve been a fan of Moore’s breakfast for awhile… fluffy delicious french toast, huge omelettes, farmers skillets, and pancakes my kids raved about- but Moore’s is so much more than just breakfast! Moore’s has two locations but the one I go to is in West Haven, on 1900 West. (There is another location at 3558 Wall Ave), The first thing I love about Moore’s is the staff. Friendly, fast, and always on top of your order; they make you feel appreciated and they are attentive.

Recently my husband and I stopped in, sans kids, which gave me a chance to really study the menu, the ambiance, and enjoy a quiet meal. The walls inside Moore’s are painted with a gorgeous western themed mural, and a stuffed bear- yes, a stuffed bear- looks over your meal. Huge tree trunks are the pillars and warm wood trim round out the Western feel.

I settled on a burger while my husband went with a French dip. Yum. Seriously… yum. Not that I regret my burger, because it was well cooked; the toppings were all fresh and delicious, and the pile of fresh cut french fries were amazing- but my husbands french dip was so good I was pretty jealous I hadn’t ordered that. The cup of chicken noodle soup that accompanied his order was the best home-style chicken noodle soup I’ve had in Utah. From the thick cut roast beef slices to the fresh ingredients, Moore’s is simple, good food.

I’ve heard great things about their BBQ offerings, and I can say the sandwiches and burgers are top notch!

Fun fact: Wood Creations, recently reviewed by Heather is right above Moores! Maybe make a trip of it!
