Indie Ogden Spotlight: Bravura Boutique

Located at 101 Historic 25th Street; Bravura Boutique just celebrated their one year anniversary! I stopped in recently to take some photos to share with you guys and let you know a bit more about this local boutique for women.

First thing you need to know: Nothing in the store is over $40.00. Really!! So if you think you cant afford to shop downtown, time to reconsider and head in for a peek at what Bravura has to offer! Owner Cassandra Hall has all the answers for you right here…

Q: I read that you guys are close to (or just did) celebrate your one year anniversary! Congrats! How has the first year been for you?
Cassandra: Thanks!! The first year has been unbelievable. I cant believe the community support, and it is so fun to see return customers.
Q: Where does the name Bravura come from?
Bravura means “Bold” or “Beautiful” Style in Italy. I just really liked the name and what it meant
Q: Tell me more about who owns the store and your employees!
I am the owner, Cassandra Hall, my employees are my daughter Aubrey and my mom Jill. I have been in the mortgage industry for 15 years, and actually I still do for Major Mortgage, right next door to me, I was ready to take on a new challenge. Aubrey is a senior in High school and is graduating early with honors, she has taken several college classes in Fashion Merchandising and strategies, and my lovely mother is retired and loves to talk to and meet new people, so she enjoys the few hours she gets each week.
Q: What made you choose the location on 25th street? What do you like about it?
The space became available and I thought what would be a better place than 25th St? This street not only has the historical history that is absolutely amazing, but it has grown so much over the last few years, that I feel excited to be a part of it and watch it grow even more.
Q: What do you see for the future of Bravura Boutique?
I am hoping to be recognized as an affordable clothing store for all ages and sizes. I want to be here a long time and have some expansions in mind that I hope will be exciting for everyone.
Q: I was so impressed by the prices and range of sizes at Bravura, is that a goal to keep prices low?
I buy “off” brand clothing. I like to show that you can have style and sass and not have to spend a fortune. No matter your size.
Q: Is Ogden your hometown? What made you choose Ogden as a place to open a new boutique?
I live in Hooper, I owned a mortgage company in the Creston Plaza many years ago, fell in love with 25th Street back then, and it only gets better every year. The space became available through my boss who owns the mortgage company and the space I am in now.
Q: You are so close to the FrontRunner station! What would you people to know, to convince them to take a ride up to Ogden to do some shopping for the day?
Wow, so much to look at, not just the history of the street, buildings and people, but it is kind of like walking back into time, where you get personal service, and people call you by name, and where businesses genuinly care about each and every customer. Great restaurants, great shops, you wont leave empty handed.
Q: Lastly, is there Anything else you would like to share with the readers?
my motto is No two women are exactly alike and few really love every thing about their entire shape. We do not cater to any one size or shape; we have Beautiful Clothes for Beautiful Women. Be your own kind of beautiful. I carry sizes 0-28 in pants and xs to 3X in shirts, lots of accessories, scarves, jewelry, perfume, handbags, sunglasses, ect… I dont have anything in the store over $39.00 and most is in high teens low 20s and it is all for quality clothing.
