AndShesDopeToo ‘Raise Nepal’ Shirts For A Cause!

Just when I thought the founders of  AndShesDopeToo couldn’t get any cooler, they go and release another fantastic shirt and this time for a beautiful cause.  The Raise Nepal shirts are printed on the softest shirts that seem to fit like a glove. The colors are a perfect fall pastel, and the design is sure to be a conversation starter, but this shirt isn’t amazing just because of aesthetics. #ASDT is donating 100% of the proceeds of this T to the One Heart World-Wide foundation whose work in Nepal is saving lives.  In northern Nepal, Infant mortality rates are shockingly low and One Heart World-Wide is hoping to change that. With help from generous donations from fundraisers just like this, OHWW has successfully:

  • Decreased infant and maternal mortality rates by over 90% in both districts
  • Increased access to skilled birth attendants (SBAs) from 22% to 41% in Baglung and from 3% to 34% in Dolpa
  • Upgraded 39 local healthcare facilities into fully equipped and certified birthing centers
  • Trained and equipped 3,870 community outreach volunteers

AndShesDopeToo rep and designer of the shirt, Rachele Pohl, had this to say about the fundraiser,

“Their land has crumbled away, so many people, animals, and homes are gone forever. The story of these beautiful mountain people of Nepal is one of true optimism and resilience. The piece I created is about being grounded as the winds of change batter us and the world shifts and falls apart. It’s about watching the sun rise again after tragedy. Through this project, we have the power to give children the opportunity to live, and mothers the chance to survive. We have the chance to help put an incredible little part of the world back together where it has fallen apart.”
