Pregnancy and birth are such special times in a person’s life but there is so much happening to you in such a short time that  it can  be overwhelming to find all the resources you need. Where do I go for massage? who is the best midwife? Where the heck do I give birth? Where can I  get help with this whole breastfeeding thing? What about my nails? Am I the only mom out there???

Luckily for you, we got you covered!  After scouring the interweb for all the resources I needed and spending an ungodly amount of time on the phone (mostly sobbing and on hold),  I thought I would do all you preggos and mamas a favor and make this handy  guide for you.We have everything for you here from birth to mamadom and everything in between.

Pregnancy should be a time of relaxation and eating giant sandwiches so get to eating ladies, eat away and fear not -I got your back.

Hospitals:

pregnancy care center-The Pregnancy Care Center is a pro-life, Christian organization developed to offer compassionate support to women in crisis pregnancy situations, and to minister the gospel of Jesus Christ. Our aim is to communicate the truth about “safe” sex, abortion and to help women cope with post abortion stress. We also serve as a referral source for schools, public health and community agencies.

Wasatch OBGYN– Our Ob/Gyn doctors and staff are part of your Northern Utah community, with offices in Ogden and Layton. We specialize in women’s healthcare including pregnancy, childbirth, menopause, and infertility.

Midwives & birth centers:

Circle of Life :Circle of Life Women’s Center is an OB/GYN with a full range of services for women’s health care. Our clinic was built-in 2000 by Dr. Jed Naisbitt and Dr. David Bierer, and has since grown to 10 providers. We pride ourselves in offering quality care, the newest technology, and a relaxing environment.

Ogden Midwives: working through Ogden regional this clinic offers midwife and other women’s services

Sunrise Midwife Services– Care of mothers during the prenatal, birth and postpartum period; as well as newborn checks and well women exams. Doula services- Care of mothers during labor & birth.  Our doulas will attend postpartum checks with the midwife. Birth and breastfeeding-A lactation consultant is always available to answer questions or provide a home/hospital visit.   Birthing classes are scheduled throughout the year.

We serve the Northern Utah area from Salt Lake to Cache county.The midwives at BirthWise Maternity Care, LC offer personalized, professional care during the prenatal, labor and birth and postpartum periods.  We are one of the few providers who support waterbirth, including the use of one of our birth pools.

Birth, parenting and relationship classes

Birthing classes:

Ogden regional:The class provides a helpful overview of relaxation and birthing techniques along with physical, emotional and intellectual preparation for childbirth with emphasis on a family-centered birth experience. This class will help you prepare for the labor and birth of your baby. Anesthesia, cesarean birth and newborns will be discussed. Birthing Center tour is included.Enroll by calling 801-479-2600

Mckay Dee:  classes include- childbirth prep, lean and fit for moms, infant massage, young moms, breastfeeding, hypnobirth , baby care, sibling class  and more

Great expectations birth care: doulas and childbirth classes

Easier birthing– The HypnoBirthing classes consist of 12 1/2 hours of instructions. Covered in class are relaxation and breathing techniques, nutrition, exercises to help prepare for birth and the basic physiology of birth. Prebirth parenting, visuals for bonding during the birth and after birth bonding are also covered in class. An emotional release is included in the course. Continued support via phone and email is included also along with an additional emotional release as your birthing time nears.

Parenting classes:

YCC parenting class:Help with raising responsible children by curbing misbehavior. Intake required (no charge). Childcare available on first come basis.

Family support center of Ogden-Parenting classes are offered for parents with children from birth through adolescence. Parenting and nurturing skills, age-appropriate expectations, anger and stress management, positive communication styles and esteem building are just a few of the topics covered. Parents may telephone the Center to register, and will meet with a Center staff member for a brief orientation prior to starting classes. Classes are held in the evening

Child safety–  free of charge car seat program, learn to protect your child in the car, hands on practice installing and using child restraints, Child safety seats available to purchase after completing the class and fee is based on household income
