Indie Ogden Review: Badger & Rue

You can only imagine how excited I was when I found Badger & Rue on Instagram and noticed some familiar local landmarks in their photos. Of course, I had to stalk their shop after that, and I was blown away by the cool designs. Finally, kids clothes that aren’t all princesses and Disney characters!

Badger & Rue was founded eight years ago by Danielle and Kenzie, who both worked in medical imagine together. After becoming moms just three months apart, they were pretty inseparable, and their love of kids fashion and design fueled their desire to start a project together. Danielle & Kenzie wanted to create a kids line that let kids express their personality and with designs that have elements of nature.

“We want children to always feel like they can express themselves in whatever way they see fit. To dare to be different, to go against the grain. That they have the tools to do + be whatever they want. Their future is unlimited, paving their own road by being proud of who they are, and using this individuality, acceptance and kindness as currency in life.”

With fall coming I thought it was the perfect time to grab a couple of long sleeve raglans, the hard part was choosing the design. This round, we picked out The future belongs to us and Tough Tom designs. The first thing I noticed when I opened the package was the material, these shirts are made from tri-bend magic and are incredibly soft. My oldest kiddo has some sensory sensitivity so if a shirt is even remotely tight or scratchy; it’s not happening. Luckily, this material was perfect, and both kiddos have been wearing their tops almost daily.

What I love most about Badger & Rue has to be the designs, whimsical and free. Their prints remind me of what I imagine my kids dream of at night. If you have rad kids who like to wear clothes that are comfortable and cool, you have to check out Badger & Rue.
