Local Habitat for Humanity Improves Ogden Homes

Did you know there’s a Habitat for Humanity chapter right in your neighborhood? Ogden is home to Habitat for Humanity of Weber & Davis Counties. Since 2004, Habitat for Humanity of Weber & Davis Counties has built or renovated one home per year for a family in need. This organization offers a hand-up, not a hand-out, to local families in desperate need of improved living conditions.

Last week was A Brush With Kindness (ABWK) Week. Habitat for Humanity of Weber & Davis Counties was one of 40 Habitat affiliates to participate. The purpose of ABWK Week is to transform neighborhoods by painting, providing minor exterior home repairs, landscaping and cleaning up yards in partnership with more than 130 low-income homeowners, many of whom are elderly or have a disability. Right here in Ogden, 68 volunteers completed projects on four homes in partnership with Habitat for Humanity of Weber & Davis Counties homeowners.
