Local Spotlight: A Good Life Cafe/Blooming Lotus Imports

107 25th Street, in downtown Ogden, is a place where conscious minds have gathered in one beautiful space. Blending a few like-minded and fun-loving friends, that met while living in Hawaii, and a drive to make a difference and follow a dream creates this earthy, natural space. Within the space is a café, retail space and studio for classes, massage and more.

A Good Life Café & Juice Bar offers a selection of natural focused foods with vegan and gluten free options, something they found, through the communities feedback, this growing town was looking for. The timing was right and here they are. As the café says “We Make Healthy Delicious” and this rings true. For these cold months owner Gary prepares two heart filled soups daily, one always vegan. Gary and Gloria also offer delicious sandwiches, salads, smoothies, raw juice drinks, natural baked goods and other specials. It’s quite impressive to see what comes out of their quaint space. If you would like to take food on the go or relax in their natural vibe setting the choice is yours. If you decide to stay you can get comfortable in the bar space, seating down below or shop while you wait for your food, which brings us to the retail space.

Nestled down below is the retail space, Blooming Lotus Imports, with a “Global Meets Local” feel. With an eclectic sense Stephanie the owner has gathered some unique selections from all over the world including consigning locally. She is focused on supporting fair trade organizations along with bringing in a selection of merchandise that has been made with recycled materials. Her space offers such items as clothing, yoga wear and all things yoga, jewelry, gauges, scarves galore, a baby zone, gifts, home décor and so much more. Utilizing her crafty ways she re-purposed wood and other materials to build the majority of her displays for this calm shopping space. These re-purposing projects can also be found in the café and throughout.

Massage…….Oh Yes! Massages are offered through Kami, owner of breathe in peace. Kami has over a decade of experience and her sense of touch is amazing. She offers Swedish and Hot Stone Massages. You can choose a half an hour or longer and her rates are very fair. She also offers chair massages for a nice quick fix! She is scheduling Monday, Wednesday, Friday and some Saturdays. You won’t regret taking time for this relaxing Experience.

Just when you thought that was all, their second level houses a beautiful studio space. The vision for both businesses is to have the studio utilized as diversely as the people of Ogden. Yoga and Belly Dance classes have started and new classes are forming all the time. Essential Oil and Candle making classes have also been scheduled and are just a couple of ideas of how this great space can be used. The best way to keep up with class schedules and events is to check out both Facebook business accounts below or simply go on down and pick up a calendar. You can choose to come and enjoy a class or if you would like to rent the space it is offered for a fee of just $25 an hour.

We are so happy to share our space and offer a conscious and earthy experience and welcome the public to come check us out!!!
