Come check out all of the Round 3 photos. We’ll have high-quality prints of all of the photos for sale at $52 and we’ll have the amazing new Ogden 52 t-shirts.
We’re also holding the drawing for the FINAL ROUND of Ogden 52 on Friday. If you’re new to the idea, Ogden 52 is a community photography project put on by Nurture the Creative Mind to show the many sides of Ogden and all of the different ways that people view the Junction City.
We’ve divided a map of Ogden into 52 sections. Each section corresponds with a specific card in a deck of regular playing cards. Each photographer will draw a card at random and then go find a photo in the neighborhood that they drew. The final photos will be collected in a gallery show that will be displayed around town.
Universe City Lives and Myra Powell Gallery will present an exhibit opening on the First Friday Art Stroll in September (4th): “Jazz from the Station.” The show will present works portraying the influence of Jazz in Ogden, including individuals (Annabell Wheatly, Joe McQueen, etc.); desegregation of community life, especially 25th Street and the Porters and Waiters Club; and images of Jazz at the Station (beginning with Jazz in the Skyroom, January 1998).
It’s the largest student-attended event at Weber State! Don’t miss the 11th Annual #WildcatBlockParty, hosted by WSUSA from 8 a.m. – 2 p.m.
The 2015 theme is “This is the Future,” as programs and departments from all over campus will be there with information, games and prizes.
Schedule of Events:
8 a.m. – Purple Pancake Breakfast (Southeast of Wattis Building until food runs out)
1:30 p.m. – Booth Awards

Meditation Fridays is a come to peace and enjoy the space class. We’re going to discuss the purpose of meditation and experience the practice of meditation as a tool to journey into the center of yourself, to a vast ocean of peace. By focusing on the breath and visualization I hope to bring everyone who comes to a closer relationship with their own inner guru, a divine source of knowledge and peace that dwells within us all.
