1-Tell our readers a bit about yourself.

I have lived in Ogden for 21 years, I moved here from New York to pursue  Basketball at Weber State, was on the Debate team and on the 88.1 radio station staff while at Weber. Married to my beautiful wife Kelly whom I’ve been with for 10 years married for 7 and my wonderful two and a half year old son Tommy III. I enjoy spending time with my family, fishing and going camping in my airstream.

2- How did you get into Mortgage?

After college I decided that helping my family, friends and future clients achieve the American dream of homeownership was my way of giving back.

3- What services do you offer?

No cost or obligation pre-approval and credit evaluation with a wide variety of Home purchase and refinance options. FHA, CONVENTIONAL, VA and USDA loans, First time homebuyers programs.

4- What are the steps you take to help someone get into a home?

Set up an appointment to evaluate your home buying Goals, Strategy and Timeline. Then start the pre-approval process by sending me your last two years W2’s, Tax Returns, and Pay Stubs. Now the exciting part finding a great realtor to help you find your dream home

5- What are some unique services you offer that others might not?

I teach a class called Understanding FICO and Managing Personal Credit to Realtors and Military Personal and offer my expertise for free to my clients, 79% of people have something wrong on their credit report.

6-Tell us a bit about your contributions to Veterans?

I donate time to teach Veterans the Do’s and Don’ts of their VA Benefits while purchasing home, also proceeds from each VA loan I close I donate to The Wounded Warrior Project.

7- What is one piece of advice you want all potential homeowners to know?

It’s not a matter if you’re going to buy, it’s about proper planning and getting with the right financial tools with the proper Real Estate and Lending Professionals.

Mikaela is a transplant from Portland, fell in love with Ogden her first day in town and created Indie Ogden the next week. She enjoys outdoor adventures with her 2 kiddos and making a mess crafting. You can find her at a local cafe or cycling around town with her family.
